How to use this walkthrough

This is not a spoiler dump of every anomaly. It is a progression plan for How to Play players who want structured nights. Pair it with Tips and Tricks, Spot Anomalies, and Survive Anomalies.

Alpha content changes about every two weeks—verify current behavior with Latest Update.

Night 1–2: Survive the mundane half

Goals:

Success metric: you can describe the counter, prep, seating, and back path from memory. Do not chase rare anomalies yet.

Night 3–4: Add the spotting loop

Goals:

Success metric: you catch at least one real tell before a teammate screams, or you correctly reject a false alarm.

Night 5–7: Role discipline under pressure

Queue with friends using Solo vs Co-op. Assign counter / runner / watch. During rush:

  • Counter never abandons tickets for vanity hunts.
  • Watch never crafts drinks “because it is fun.”
  • Runner keeps floors open for emergency paths.

Success metric: one full shift where roles stay stable after the first scare.

Night 8–10: Threat literacy

Open Anomaly List and Danger Tier. For each encounter:

  1. Name the family of tell (visual / audio / path / behavior).
  2. Choose a response from Survive Anomalies.
  3. Resume service without letting tickets explode into a second crisis.

Success metric: you can explain why you acted, not only that you panicked correctly.

Mid-alpha nights: patch resilience

After any experience update timestamp change (see Latest Update):

  1. Retest one order.
  2. Retest landmarks.
  3. Retest audio.
  4. Rewrite callouts if zones moved.

Use Alpha Patch Notes as the ritual checklist.

How to “beat” a shift (player definition)

There is no single retail ending promised in the alpha marketing text. Beating a shift means:

  • Customers were served correctly enough to keep the café alive.
  • Anomalies were handled without total lobby collapse.
  • Your team still wants another night.

If you only optimize for jumpscare clips, you will ignore service and fail the fantasy. If you only optimize for speed of latte, anomalies will punish you. Balance is the win condition.

Party walkthrough script (copy/paste)

“Night plan: counter owns tickets, runner owns floors, watch owns walls. Soft-call zone + object. Hard-call needs two signals. No code hunting—Active Codes is empty. After the shift we skim Latest Update if the place updated.”

Common walkthrough traps

  • Skipping Beginner Priority and jumping to rare entity hunting.
  • Treating YouTube from other café games as law.
  • Assuming group rewards require a code redeem UI (Group Rewards).
  • Bringing executor “help” into a learning night (Working Scripts).

Play the nights in order once. After that, remix—but keep the same honesty about what you still cannot cover alone.

Stretch goals after Night 10

Once the first ten nights feel boring in a good way, add stretch goals: teach a newcomer, run a silent spotting minute, or finish a shift with zero false hard-calls. Stretch goals keep veterans from inventing reckless challenges that wipe the café. Keep Tips and Tricks and Sound Cues in rotation so mastery stays broad.

Logging your personal walkthrough

Write the date, lobby size, and which night plan you attempted. When a bi-weekly drop lands, annotate which nights need replaying. Personal logs plus Alpha Patch Notes beat memory every time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is there a final ending in Anomaly Cafe?

The alpha markets a recurring café-horror loop with ongoing updates. Treat ‘beating a shift’ as clean service plus controlled anomaly response.

Should I watch a full walkthrough video first?

Videos help for pacing, but always verify mechanics in your live build after each bi-weekly drop.

What if my lobby skips straight to chaos night one?

Pull two friends into a smaller server and run Nights 1–4 goals before returning to a full house.

Does this walkthrough include every anomaly?

No. Use Anomaly List for cataloguing and this page for progression structure.
